Honda Civic 2005.g VTEC-filter klime

Recommended Posts

Its pretty simple if you want to do it yourself. inside the front of the glove box there are two tabbed rollers that prevent the glove box door from falling all the way down when you open the glove box. There is one tab at the top near the front of each side panel. If memory serves me right you can put your finger under the bottom of the tab then lift up on the tab to release it and the roller should pop free. then work the roller out of the hole. (Obviously you'll want to take all of the stuff out of the glove box first.) Then release and remove the tab and roller on the other side of the box as you hold the glove box door. with the two rollers removed the glove box will fall forward. Behind the glove box you'll see the black heater duct that houses the cabin air filter. there will be a horizontal cover that is about 2" x 8". remove the cover and you can then pull the filter out. I don't remember if your car uses one large filter or two smaller ones. if it has two filters you remove one then slide the other over to the opening and remove it.replace the filter (or filters) with the new one then put the cover back on. put the glove box door back up then reinstall the rollers and your done. (you'll probably want to note the orientation of the rollers when you remove them as it make it easier to put them back in)hope that helps
